Outside Magazine renamed itself Mariah Magazine in 1978. In this issue Jerry joined with Edward Abbey in collaboration on an article called Hawaii's Waimea: The Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Jerry had spend quite a bit of time hiking in Waimea on a couple of different trips. Excellent article by the wonderful author Edward Abbey.
